Solar panels Ter Laak Orchids

In April 2011 the mechanics of Leen Huisman B.V. started the installion of Solarpanels on the Greentop outside screen at Ter Laak Orchids. These small panels are mounted above the cloth packages so a minimal amount of shade is created by the panels.

The solar panels on the Greentop outside screen produce 4 kWh of electricity per m2 surface area per year. This green power is used for the daily electrical needs of all automation on their company. With the outside screen shade can be created and - opposite to white wash -  can be opened in the spring and fall. This saves extra costs on supplemental  lighting. If the crop is also cooled the total use of electricity needed for cooling drops - due to the reflection of light outside the greenhouse- with app. 20 procent compared to the using white wash.

At Ter Laak Orchids Open Door Day on June 25th 2011 more then 10.000 people visited this beautiful company.

Greentop outside screen Karel Bolbloemen

At the end of 2010 Leen Huisman BV has provided the new greenhouse of Karel Bolbloemen in Bovenkarspel, Holland with the innovative Greentop outside screen. This outside screen is mounted on the ridge of the greenhouse and is fully integrated in the greenhouse constructions. Besides the Greentop outside screen we also installed a single energy screen inside the greenhouse..

Diaphragm screen Anthura

At the end of 2008 the new and innovative greenhouse of Anthura in Bleiswijk, Holland is realised. Leen Huisman BV installed 10,2 ha of Diaphragm screen against the upper trelliebeam and a diffuse energy screen against the lower trelliesbeam. The Diaphragm screen ensures an optimal control of incoming sunlight during the day and prevents emission of supplemental lighting during the night.
